Last time at Harrell House 1 (and I only remember this because I just finished reading it :P) Rosica gave birth to quints fulfilling the "have 10 children" want ... plus an 11th because that is just the way this house works. I am warning you now, I can't tell them apart yet and the long break did not help that any. What followed was a long sequence of diapers and bottles and pain during which Stuart was largely neglected (Sorry Stuart) the house was expanded and Rosica fulfilled her Max all 7 Skills LTW. Longest sim days I have EVER played.

The quints aged up, Alexander had a fit about a toy robot Rosica left out for the children (though he changed his mind before throwing it away), Rosica and I hashed out exactly what earns the Business Owner point, Mitzi teenified into a knowledge sim with a future in Education and met her intended (Paris by winterinverona). Then Sally Tipple invited herself in and made out with Alexander. For the first time ever, Rosica had an issue with her husband's habit of kissing random women and things got ugly, though she did eventually forgive him.

Round about the time of being forgiven, Alexander headed out with the toy robot he had objected so much about to visit a witch living in the woods (she really does) and struck a deal for an as yet unrevealed spell after which he placed the robot on an out of the way shelf in his work room and warned Jason, very sternly, never to touch it.

Somewhere in there the quints aged up to child, Stuart teenified and will be unlocking the Artist career (not painter standing at the easel all day, the actual career), Wilford twirled into adulthood complete with promotion to legal secretary and, much to my dismay, Alexander and Rosica grew old together.

Whew! All caught up now? Good.

Last time we saw Nigel he was packing his bags and getting the heck out of his parents house as fast as possible. Not for any actual good reason, he was just tired of cooling his heels in teenhood and eager to get on with his life. In this case "life" means moving into this black and white almost-a-box and marrying Wilhemina Drexler. (via

A quick side note, I had previously been referring to those who rolled up working at the easel "artists". Obviously this clashes with the career of "Artist". Not the same thing, thus easel dwellers will now be referred to as "painters" which both Nigel and Wilhemina are.

Every time I sit down at the beginning of a rotation and work out the math for how many entries there will be this time around (The 7.<whatever> part) I ALWAYS forget someone or find out later I had to move out sims I wasn't expecting to and then my nicely worked out decimals are all wrong. :( It is kind of annoying really. So now I am just going to number them sequentially. 1, 2, 3 etc. We might end up with a 'Week 42.8631' (OMG, no, no we will not because I will cry. 8631 is waaaaaaaaay too many houses to be playing) but sequential it is.

Last time in the Channing house: Chesly earned his gold fishing badge and upgraded the home business with actual walls and a floors and a roof! Kari aged up to child, Claire and Colton were born and there was much fishing and sewing done.

Last time in Harrell 3 (these are starting to sound like some kind of cult compounds ... ) Darius aged up to adult, Shot up his career track a LONG way, spent a lot of time wearing the stupid lightbulb hat and married Byrony. Byrony found her plans on hold due to my lack of foresight to get them a lot big enough for her to farm. So, with not much else to do, she produced spawn in the form of Adeline .. who has freckles!

They finished out the week by moving out of their tiny lot an into ...

Last time at Harrell House 2 Beka started the week by miscarrying her first pregnancy. On a career front, Arron and Isiah both earned their gold badges (flower arranging and pottery respectively), Beka climbed the Architect ladder several rungs up but has not quite reached the top yet. To end the week the house was upgraded (in a big way) and Beka started pregnancy #2 at which point she aquired her new BFP (Best Friend for Pregnancy) in the form of Mr. Stinky the Snapdragon you can see in the picture up there.

Last time in House Harrell Dominick aged to adult, Mitzi and Stuart grew into childhood, Wilford aged to teen where he rolled up an unlocked career (he's going into Law), the gypsy dropped off a lamp and Dominick wished for wealth. Almost immediately following the wish a burglar showed up unlocking burglar alarms, positions in crime, law enforcement and law when the cop won the fight! Both Rosica and Alexander rolled up wants for 10 children and I agreed to go for it ... along with devising a plan to make sure they get there as quickly as possible. We are still waiting to see if said plan worked. Wilford met his wife to be Dena Patrick .. who promptly made out with Alexander .. and no one cared!

While all of that sinks in, lets take a moment to meet the remainder of the gene pool.

Just a heads up, there are no babies in this update. I know! Hard to believe, there is every possibility something resembling a story might have snuck up on me. It is only a vague resemblance mind you. Still a challenge! Just a challenge with some story.

Last time in the Murphy households there were babies. Amethyst and Braden got their first grandchild courtesy of Preston and Amber. Noe adopted a dog, the house glitched and Braden made a bunch of robots to make sure they had enough funds to build a new house. Meanwhile Melanie moved out and married Chesly Channing where there was yet one more baby (grandchild #2).

Also I oopsed last round. I said the Murphy team finished up with a score of 40. They didn't, because I suck at math. They actually had a score of 50.

With this update we are now at the end of the the rotations I had played ahead! Okay, not entirely true I am like half way through Darius' rotation. Point is all caught up!

Last time Arron and Isiah moved into a new house across the street, grew up immediately following which they both got a visit from the shrink, Arron married Rebeka who is now expecting and both boys made a bunch of progress toward their career badges.

Slow but steady progress. That section of community lot in the middle of the map is "the prize".

Last time the Harrell's saw the founding of their second house, Darius moved out, Dominick aged up and Alexander and Rosica actually produced a girl!!! They finished the week with a score of 45.

*correction* When I actually look at the score sheet and not go from memory they have a score of 50. 1 badge+2 houses+2 utilities x 10 sims = 50.

I am getting these out as quickly as possible because I am getting a bit more time to play around the bird ... oh yeah, we have acquired a bird, but that is another post entirely ... and would like to get the updates as caught up to where I have played to as possible. I have played about halfway through the week 6 rotation so getting there! And then there will be more time between updates and way less update spam.

Last time the Murphy crew finished off with a score of 21 and some badly behaving teens.

Pleasantview now has a school. One that functions even. It still needs teachers, but since there has been 8 children born so far (with more on the way) and one position in Education is unlocked for every 5 children born I thought it was time they had a school. I am thinking I will come up with a few generic teachers who will probably not end up in the gene pool. Kind of like that one teacher you had who was older than dirt and had been there FOREVER, only these ones will have actually been there forever.

Almost caught up to where I have played to!

Last week the Murphy clan maintained a not too shabby for as new as this challenge is score of 8. They can't all be breeding like demented bunnies on hormone drugs ... ALEXANDER AND ROSICA!

I should probably mention there is a ton of pics in this update because things happened. No, let me rephrase that: PRESTON happened. He had a little help from his sister but mostly it was all Preston.

I have figured out what the two teams (familes, whatever) are competing for in this challenge. See that smaller block right in the middle of town? That entire block will be converted to parks (or other appropriate community lots based on the interests of the founders) named after the family and the founders.

Should be fun to build.

That being said, the Murphy clan finished out last week with one household and having unlocked utilities (sim multiplier = 2 at this point) giving them a total of 4 population.

Been Simming! and a kitten.

Though I have forgotten tons ... you would not believe how long it took me to remember which button it was that put the camera into "cameraman mode". I got it now though!

I will have a mashed together post covering ... how ever many weeks I have played through in the challenge by the time I get to posting it. Was going to do regular updates but I am missing a full rotation of pics because someone forgot to turn Fraps on .... *whistles innocently*. I figure amochan8878 , jeans_sim_memoirs , chillyzgrrlsims andremisims might want to see what abuse I am putting their sims through. Still more room in the gene pool if anyone else wants to offer up a sim for sacrifice, especially for girls. My sims have forgotten how to have girls I think!

Binky's Bend - Team Rythe Week 2 - Part 1

Last week saw Rythe and Felix moving into their new house, Rythe marrying Lyla, Felix getting hitched to Casey, Rein moving in and marrying Candace, the birth of Alana, both Lyla and Rythe knocked up, Casey growing up and actually getting along with Felix, the delivery of a magic lamp and a LOT of painting.

Team Rythe finished off the week with a score of 14.

Pleasantries snippet

I am behind on the next update to Binky's Bend, which I knew would happen because I had another all day appointment with radioactive tracers (still no super powers). The next update is currently being typed up but ... I hit a snag.

There is a Pleasantries character about to come in to the challenge who has a history. A kind of important history which I didn't even think about when I included him in the list because I want to give him the chance to have what "could have been" but I forget that everyone else doesn't know what is going to happen sometimes and it is worse for the bits that I have had written for years now, but I haven't actually gotten the story to that point.

Sooooooo, taking a moment to introduce you all to Justin.

Some of you might have already sort of met him here, he is Winston's younger brother and the frontman for a fairly popular new band. Other than that everything you need to know you can find here. *WARNING* Slight spoilers contained in that link! Not as many as it would appear since that is the very, very rough draft, written well before I even thought of posting any of Pleasantries at all (and before I realized I was spelling Juliette's name wrong). A lot of the plot has changed since then, many things mentioned will be very different when we get to that point in the story. Some of the changes will already be obvious.
