I think I just aged 4 decades.

I am a fairly liberal parent, okay, no, I am an extremely liberal parent. The line I draw for what my daughter may or may not be exposed to has made more than one person cringe ...
And yet I just found something that made even me go "What in fuck is this doing linked from the LJ homepage!??!!"

Everyone (over the age of majority) following along?

1

Featured on the LJ homepage.

One click away and we are still good. The list is a bit … strange from a western perspective maybe (or so say the comments). Not the point, but there is that link there.

3

Click the link (click 2) and … huh. The side bar here is certainly ‘interesting’ and I can see some having an issue with their 13 year old child seeing this (No, I am not one of them, but I can at least see how it might be an issue).

I am not seeing what I think I am seeing. AM I seeing what I think I am seeing?

5

Oh. My. Gods.

3 simple clicks from the homepage of LiveJournal. 3 clicks. 3 clicks I can see a lot of early teen children following. It started out with the hook of “what is cute” and then reels in with  “cosplay”.

Am I the only one having an issue with this?

My honey and I are both smh. That's a brilliant example of rule #34. I agree, that shouldn't be linked to LJ's homepage. We're grown adults and don't want to see it, I doubt any parent wants to let their children see that.
