OK, I apologize in advance if this seems a bit obvious, but it could be some kind of allergic reaction; my minimal knowledge of medicine leads me to that notion, at least. You might schedule some tests to find out what it was you had the reaction to, if that's the case. I hope it gets better. I'll keep you in my thoughts. :)
