Born at 11 this morning. Two boys and a girl. Blackberry didn't have anywhere near as easy a time as Casper did, though she was decidedly less scared and immediately attentive. She's recovering nicely though.
She looks....angry at you for some reason. Probably not all that thrilled at having her picture taken so soon after labor. They are cute little munchkins though :D
*pats* poor Amo :( denied her hearts desire...hell, I know I wouldnt know what to do w one of these critters if I did have one ^^;;; im not very farm savvy bein a city girl n all xp lol!
You can't have just one! (And no, not cause they are like Lays, you really can't have just one they NEED another goat) As for what you do with them ... this (http://nigeriandwarfgoats.ning.com/group/workinggoats/page/a-journey-to-working-goat) is an idea.
They have anywhere between 1 and 4, but I think the average is 2. That average varies a bit based on maternal heritage. Casper for example is from a line that averages 4, so VERY glad she only had two this time with as scared as she was, but next time (in about 2 years) 4 will be what we plan for. Blackberry surprised us being that her line averages only a single.
awww they are adorable!! <3 Sometimes I really wish we'd live outside a city in a big house so we could have more animals xD (and actually, so does my hubs, tho they must be a lot of work too)
They are, but it never seems like it at the time. You kind of just go about doing what needs to be done and then you get to the end of the day and it all catches up at once. :D

BTW, the rest of your surprise is posted on my journal.
