I had a shitty week
To sum up: Oven packed it in right when it was needed most, my daughters' cat died early Christmas morning, Insensitive family members have been a pain (re the cat, apparently grieving "spoils the holiday"), my computer has decided to revolt yet again by "loosing" some rather important windows files and functions (and the laptop has not had the very toast HD fixed yet ... I might just get a new laptop) requiring a reformat which is turning into an OS upgrade because at this point I might as well, and a bunch of other stuff I won't bore you with, BUT
Which in no way makes any of the above any less painful, but it is still a good thing.

(I can commiserate on the oven, we only just recently got ours fixed after months of having to barbecue everything.)
But, yay for tablets. I have an el cheapo ALDI brand one that I like to play around with. I can't draw for crap, but it's fun. :) Definitely following your art journal.

You know what really sucks? The oven that quit was the replacement for the one that quit earlier in the year and took a month or so to replace! BBQing everything just sucks!
(resists urge to get on soapbox and tell you ANYONE can learn to draw, talent is a myth ... :P ) The tablet is fun! And has made so many thing so much more accessible for me! Web browsing doesn't hurt anymore!

Good luck in getting the stuff with your computer fixed and whatnot. I swear this year seems to have been the run of computer breakdowns and stuff for about 1/4th of you on my f-list! D:

As for loosing, I think I have it covered. Pen goes in pen holder on my desk (which is an empty one of these (http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51GYOOC8oCL.jpg) when I am using it. As soon as I am finished it goes in the little pen holder on the tablet and then the whole tablet goes into a plastic grocery bag I have hanging from the wall beside my desk. *nod*
Oh yeah! I am all about "elegant" storage solutions :P
