I had a shitty week

To sum up: Oven packed it in right when it was needed most, my daughters' cat died early Christmas morning, Insensitive family members have been a pain (re the cat, apparently grieving "spoils the holiday"), my computer has decided to revolt yet again by "loosing" some rather important windows files and functions (and the laptop has not had the very toast HD fixed yet ... I might just get a new laptop) requiring a reformat which is turning into an OS upgrade because at this point I might as well, and a bunch of other stuff I won't bore you with, BUT

Which in no way makes any of the above any less painful, but it is still a good thing.

And since I have my shiny new tool, I have a couple shiny new links for you as well!  genlisae_art where I have set myself the goal of one drawing/painting a day (as shoulders permit). It is mirrored at genlisae_art for those who don't use dreamwidth at all. Go have a look! Make suggestions, give me ideas for subjects since it seems working out the what to draw/paint is almost more work than actually drawing/painting!

The kiddo is doing okay (and seems to have stopped habitually looking for the cat in her favourite sleeping spot ... I didn't realize how often she did that :( )

You know what really sucks? The oven that quit was the replacement for the one that quit earlier in the year and took a month or so to replace! BBQing everything just sucks!

(resists urge to get on soapbox and tell you ANYONE can learn to draw, talent is a myth ... :P ) The tablet is fun! And has made so many thing so much more accessible for me! Web browsing doesn't hurt anymore!
