Hi

Right, so I kind of fell off the net again. Couple reasons for that:

1. Frustration.

Just after I posted that pic a few weeks ago my game proved to be the universe's biggest bitch. Seriously. Capp Manor actually looks like something you would call "Capp Manor" now (it is the big grey one in that pic)  and I can't play it. Donno why. I know my CC is clean. I know the lot is in perfect working order but it crashes whenever I try to actually direct sims to do something. It is the only lot that does this (I think, have not done much dedicated testing yet) and it is also the only one that is bigger than 5 x 3. I am thinking the problem lies somewhere in that part of the equation. What exactly the problem is, I donno and I just can't be bothered to work it out right now.

So instead I started a BACC to give me something to do rather than think about the second reason I fell off the web which is:

2. Cancer.

Yup. The thing, when subjected to the (still really cool) radioactive tracers, lit up like a thermite Christmas Tree. There is all sorts of theory and speculation and blah, blah, blah, and now my thoracic surgeon is going to slit my throat.

...

No, really. Some time in the next two or three weeks they are going to make an incision at the base of my throat and go investigating by poking a camera down under my ribs to see what they can find because the lymphnodes in my chest also lit up all pretty like and now he's thinking "Hey, that's probably related" (I'm paraphrasing) so he wants to have a look and see if there is another option besides fun, funky chemicals and removing the entire upper lobe of my right lung.

The irony of this whole situation is that I have finally managed to quit smoking (which I realize is better for me overall) because I do not want to get lung cancer only to find out I already have it and it was NOT from smoking. It was (most likely based on what they have found) a really nasty respiratory virus I picked up in Florida and spent two weeks doing more coughing than breathing and discovering that it really is possible to overdose on Dextromethorphan (Do not over dose on Dextromethorphan, by the way, not even accidentally because you are too tired to remember when you took the last dose - or three - your throat is so raw it is bleeding and you just want to stop damn well coughing already! The overdose really doesn't help at that point). This virus left scars. These scars have turned cancerous. The growth of which was most likely slowed by one of the rainbow of chemicals in tobacco. Now that I have stopped smoking it is growing. Rapidly.

There are no words really.

Anyway that is where I have been and where I will be. I do not have a firm date for the surgery yet, sometime in the week of the 18th in the mean time I will be going to various appointments for an assortment of tests and actively not thinking.
