Present and Unaccounted for

One of my biggest pet peeves in TS2 is that the farm fields are "effects" and thus can't be seen from within the lot. I mean really? That is a pretty major piece of atmosphere adding deco there, which a lot of us have spent a long time setting up to have exactly the right feel to it, and yet once you are in the lot your atmosphere just vanishes. It is also more than a little annoying that the farm fields are huge and you can't make anything but a square out of them.

I finally got tired of my atmosphere having to be "close enough" and going *poof*.


Really, with the size of these now it is closer to 1/4 of an acre, but who is really counting? I cloned the dirt road from Criquette's Decorative Road Set and applied textures from the Maxis Farm fields.

Last time at Harrell House 2 Beka started the week by miscarrying her first pregnancy. On a career front, Arron and Isiah both earned their gold badges (flower arranging and pottery respectively), Beka climbed the Architect ladder several rungs up but has not quite reached the top yet. To end the week the house was upgraded (in a big way) and Beka started pregnancy #2 at which point she aquired her new BFP (Best Friend for Pregnancy) in the form of Mr. Stinky the Snapdragon you can see in the picture up there.

Just a heads up, there are no babies in this update. I know! Hard to believe, there is every possibility something resembling a story might have snuck up on me. It is only a vague resemblance mind you. Still a challenge! Just a challenge with some story.

Last time in the Murphy households there were babies.  Amethyst and Braden got their first grandchild courtesy of Preston and Amber. Noe adopted a dog, the house glitched and Braden made a bunch of robots to make sure they had enough funds to build a new house. Meanwhile Melanie moved out and married Chesly Channing where there was yet one more baby (grandchild #2).

Also I oopsed last round. I said the Murphy team finished up with a score of 40. They didn't, because I suck at math. They actually had a score of 50.

With this update we are now at the end of the the rotations I had played ahead! Okay, not entirely true I am like half way through Darius' rotation. Point is all caught up!

Last time Arron and Isiah moved into a new house across the street, grew up immediately following which they both got a visit from the shrink, Arron married Rebeka who is now expecting and both boys made a bunch of progress toward their career badges.

I am getting these out as quickly as possible because I am getting a bit more time to play around the bird ... oh yeah, we have acquired a bird, but that is another post entirely ... and would like to get the updates as caught up to where I have played to as possible. I have played about halfway through the week 6 rotation so getting there! And then there will be more time between updates and way less update spam.

Last time the Murphy crew finished off with a score of 21 and some badly behaving teens.

Last week the Murphy clan maintained a not too shabby for as new as this challenge is score of 8. They can't all be breeding like demented bunnies on hormone drugs ... ALEXANDER AND ROSICA!

I should probably mention there is a ton of pics in this update because things happened. No, let me rephrase that:  PRESTON happened. He had a little help from his sister but mostly it was all Preston.

When we last left the Harrell family their contribution to the town population accounted for a whole 4 sims. Which is not bad for a week really.
