Over the next week or so I will be moving this journal over to dreamwidth. The only reason for the delay is to work out what to do with what is currently on my dreamwidth account. Once that is worked out the move will happen.
Also a heads up for those who haven't heard and have been wondering why, even with the very vocal outcry against the new friends page, LJ staff is not listening. http://ru-news.livejournal.com/27672.html (anyone who speaks Russian that could give me a better translation of the following would get many, many virtual cookies)
From the first comment by yegorka Orginal Russian: 1. платные пользователи тоже будут принудительно видеть эти новые журнальные "промо"? без возможности их отключения?
Rough Translation: 1. Premium users will also be forced to see the new magazine "promo"? Without the possibility of turning them off?
Reply from tritankista Original Russian: Да, промо будут видеть все пользователи, включая платников. Кстати, скоро мы отменим платные аккаунты.
Rough Translation: Yes, the promo will be seen by all users including paid accounts. By the way, soon we will be removing paid accounts.
It seems the response from LiveJournal to their paid users demanding the services we pay for will be to remove the ability to be a paid user. Fair enough, I am sure dreamwidth will appreciate my subscription money.
