Just a heads up, there are no babies in this update. I know! Hard to believe, there is every possibility something resembling a story might have snuck up on me. It is only a vague resemblance mind you. Still a challenge! Just a challenge with some story.
Last time in the Murphy households there were babies. Amethyst and Braden got their first grandchild courtesy of Preston and Amber. Noe adopted a dog, the house glitched and Braden made a bunch of robots to make sure they had enough funds to build a new house. Meanwhile Melanie moved out and married Chesly Channing where there was yet one more baby (grandchild #2).
Also I oopsed last round. I said the Murphy team finished up with a score of 40. They didn't, because I suck at math. They actually had a score of 50.

This is the new house on a new lot in exactly the same place the old one was. You will notice it is not red except for that little bit at the top as homage to the old house.

This house is green.

Amber and Preston were getting awfully close to adulthood, so it was time to move them out (I only move sims out on the first or last day of a rotation to keep the ages consistent) taking Vivien with them. They will be moving next door with Amber's spouse-to-be Patrick Stalk, so I am sure Vivien will get lots of visits from her grandparents.

Nigel, that is really not the best place to leave the kite.

I have to remember to get the mod that removes this glow. I hate this glow. I seriously hate this glow.
Also, my season display thingy there glitched. It is spring, even though it seems to want to be counting the days in summer. (It sorted itself later after I restarted).

Welcome wagon is actually dropping the neighbours now!

They all sat down to a nice meal with Amethyst and Noe. I suspect the "nice" portion was due entirely to Braden still working away at the robotics bench. He was too busy to start anything.

Then he finished the munchiebot.

I think this was the longest sim fight I have ever witnessed. I am not really surprised I don't think either one of them has a single point of body.

Finally, a sim hour later a winner is decided.

I made Braden apologize in the hopes it would stave off any future hostilities and he did "technically" start all of this by being pissy over a broken toy robot ... that breaks at least twice a day anyway.

As it turns out Alexander is a vengeful jerk.

Yes, steal the invisible newspaper. That will teach him!

Noe ... I think you are missing the whole point of being a child.
Noe: Nah. Kids are supposed to have fun and stuff. Cleaning the shower is fun!

Oh, see that explains so much.

Back to steal another non-existent news paper?
Alexander: Indeed. I will teach Robotbrain not to mess with the awesome that is the Toy-Maker!
I suddenly feel like I am stuck in the middle of a really bad comic.

Abbey, go out the door to sniff the cat. Do not just stick our head through the window.

Mitzy ans Stuart followed Nigel and Noe home from school.
Mitzy has totally figured out how this challenge works.

Speaking of how this challenge works ... Step up to the cake boys, after which a few rolls of some virtual dice will decide your entire future!
... It sounds so terrible when I put it that way.

Noe (the one studying his fingers) rolled up Family, Married and will be taking over the Robot bench from Braden.
Nigel also got family and a future spouse but he will be putting the family easel back into business as an Artist.

Oh, and yeah, both of their spouses will be of the girl variety. So says the sim blender's gender pref randomizer.

I really need to get rid of that glow!

... Oh joy. Just as she finished water the plants it starts raining. *sigh* I see soggy, dripping plants in the future.

Yeah, and here I thought Amethyst was the sane one.

Told you there would be soggy, dripping plants.

Braden: Alright, now that you are all old enough It is time to bring down the hammer of justice!
Nigel : Okaaaay. Can we have that in a language that actually makes sense?
Braden: This challenge. Team Murphy must win it, at any cost!

Melanie: Am I hearing things or did Dad just tell us to be criminals?

Nigel: Look, we know this challenge is important to you, and if Team Murphy did win it that would be great, but I don't think resorting to crime is the answer.

Braden: Who said anything about crime? I just want to bring down the Hammer of Justice on that robot-breaking jerk's head.

Nigel: Mom? You on board with this? Because there is no way you would approve of anything that will get us arrested.

Amethyst: Your father is talking about doing everything by the book, legal, just with more ... effort and attention than you might have given the situation otherwise.
Preston: You mean like more babies?
Amethyst: Yes, more babies, put your all into your careers. Perhaps each of you could open a home business to get the business rank points. Live good, productive lives. It is important to your father, even long after we are both gone, that the Murphy family make a mark on this town.

Noe: Why is this challenge prize so important to you anyway, Dad?

Braden: It isn't the prize. I don't care about the prize. I just don't want the paper-stealer immortalized with a park in his honor when this challenge is over. Think of the poor robots! They deserve our protection against those who would just break them willy-nilly!

Melaine: I have to get back home, Daddy, but I will see what I can do to help out and get us a better score.
Braden: That's all I am asking.

I agree, Abbey, You may be the most logical one in this house.

Noe and Nigel got to work on earning their gold badges right away.

The rivalry between their father's has not split up the children any. They are all still really good friends.
Wilford: He told you to have more babies?
Nigel: Yeah. Which is just weird because we haven't even met our wives yet.

Good job, Amethyst! I can't count it toward the score but at least you are providing the best for your family!

Amethyst: Remember when I just finished watering you and then it started raining? Funny stuff! You were all drippy for days. Kate thought you were going to die!

I know where Amethyst got her nature enthusiasm from, but I have no idea where Braden got his. If he wants to go hiking though, he might as well take his wife and the dog with him.

Right after returning from the hike he rolled up the want to earn $50 000. A quick check with the counter painting (which I downloaded specifically for this) proves that was totally doable!
His LTW is well out of reach, so filling all the other major wants is my best chance to have him die platinum.

Preston, just stop it! Especially when you are both random walk-bys.

Servo finished! One f these days I will let them keep one. Not this one though because ...

... 'Earn $50 000' met and rewarded!

Time for everyone to meet the future wives. In an effort to avoid a similar situation to the whole 'not enough room for a farm' issue which popped up with Bree, I have already rolled for their careers. Both are by

On the left Nigel's intended, Wilhemina Drexler. Wilhemina will be joining Nigel at the easel.
On the right (with a minor skin change, sorry amo, even with the aliens I couldn't justify a bright yellow skin in what will be the main Pleasantries 'Hood :/ ) is Aisy Milton. Aisy will be marrying Noe and unlocking a new career. Don't know which one yet since I haven't looked at her LTW.
Other things you should probably know, with Noe taking over the robot building that makes him the most logical choice to be the child inheriting the house as well.

Oh come on, Wilhemina, it is not like arranged marriages don't happen ALL the time in your home world! Hell arranged marriages are the lesser evil of all the things that are arranged where you come from! Cut the kid some slack and play nice.

Noe seems to be doing slightly better with Aisy.

Braden! Stop killing butterflies! You are going to catch them and then hide them somewhere inside where I never look and then it will just be a jar of bug corpses. I don't like killing bugs. Not even virtual ones.
In the list of things I have never done before. I have never had a sim adopt a wandering stray. Amethyst spent the rest of the day building her relationship with Max here. Then I remembered why I have never adopted a wandering stray. As soon as they got best friend level Max wandered away probably to never be seen again.

Oh, and there goes Noe's status of "doing slightly better".

Wilhemina continues to be the more difficult of the two though as she rejects the date invite. *headdesk*

Not the flirt though. She is okay with flirting.

Crush hearts!

She had to be difficult though and couldn't throw the hearts up at the same time ... You have to deal with me for a very long time, lady, and I have the power to make your life VERY miserable. Get with the programme or you will regret it.

You too, Aisy!

Much better.

Or not.

More pink hearts.

And more difficult women.

First kiss is a go for Noe!

And Nigel shortly thereafter.

Seems they got the message after all.

Double red hearts!

Time to make this official.

She accepted. Thank gods.

And then they threw me another set of hearts. I guess to make up for the crush hearts issue?

Aisy still refuses to get in sync with the hearts though.

I swear I have never had more difficult dates than these two were. I was crossing all my fingers and toes hoping she wouldn't turn him down here.

She didn't!

And they also threw up a new set of hearts, in sync this time. Keep that sort of thing up Aisy and we will get along just fine.

Now end the damn dates and go home before I pull my hair out. I don't have enough hair back yet to loose any!

No, Aisy. You may not. That sort of thing leads to unauthorized spawn with this family. Wait til the wedding.

I believe I see pointy ears here.

Random smustle.

Hallelujah! The tomatoes are ready! They ran out of leftovers at breakfast.

Food! they have FOOD!

Damn it, Braden!

Have a rare picture of Abbey actually using her bed to end the week. Usually she sleeps on the sidewalk or in front of the stove getting in the way and then whining later because she is uncomfortable.
Headed over to the Channing house next to see if Melanie can maybe make some progress on those sewing badges. Maybe. Don't hold your breath.
