Character Meme - Anto

genlisaeI don't remember who tagged me for Anto :( If it was you please let me know so I can get your name up here! We all know how this works by now yes? So I won't post the rules.
Instead I will post a confession. If I had to say I had a crush on any of my characters, this would so be the one. It's a huge crush even, like massive. Anto is just made of yummy. Also I had way too much fun selecting Anto's quote. There was much giggling with sadistic glee. No strangling me please ... and more than just two pictures this time. I couldn't make up my mind on which of the work shots to use.
The awesome thing about being a single guy working weird hours living in the apartment next door to two women. They feel sorry for you and will totally bring you and your co-worker/friend breakfast at whatever hour breakfast happens to be! Having the adorable dog for them to hang out with always helps as well.
1) His full name is Anthony Joseph Nakai, but only his mother ever calls him Anthony and no one outside his immediate family knows his middle name, not even Caliban. Yes that is a Native American surname, specifically Navajo. His name reflects his ancestry very well actually. I will leave you to figure out the rest of it.
2) His father passed away before he was born.
3) He is the youngest of two children. His older sister is very family oriented and is forever nagging him to get married and have children. Anto is not terribly comfortable around his sister and makes it a point to avoid her whenever she is in town.
4) The diner Lilith, Tybalt and Ripp were at for Ice cream in Chapter two is Anto’s mother’s business conveniently enough named Nakai’s. His mother is the “Mrs. N” referenced by Ripp. Nakai’s is renowned in Bluewater Village for sundaes and Mrs. N’s cookies. Anto worked at the diner until he went to college.
5) Cal was a frequent customer at the diner as a teen and the two quickly became inseparable. Through Cal, Anto also became friends with Rythe (Cal’s older brother; Rein, Damon and Telesto’s father) and is now considered a member of the Villega family. No family gathering is complete without Anto present.
6) Anto is gay, though he has been very careful to ensure that is not a well known fact for both work related reasons and because he just doesn’t see it being anyone else’s business. To the best of his knowledge the only other person that knows is his mother and that is only because she guessed and you do not under any circumstances, ever, lie to Mrs. N!
7) He doesn’t believe in love. He loves his mother, sure, and even his dog, but the love the poets go on about he sees as nothing more than an attempt to romanticise lust. As you can guess his relationships to this point have been short and unattached. Actually they have pretty much lasted a matter of hours and the exchange of names was optional.
8) He was very slow to come to terms with his sexuality, not fully admitting it even to himself until well into college. Being a very private person by nature, he chose not to “come out” at the time, not even to Cal. Once he and Cal had joined the police force and it became evident the general feeling among the other officers was anti-gay, with career aspirations in mind now, he was even more sure of his decision to simply keep that part of his life to himself. Recently that decision has been chaffing at him, not so much for himself but because of the increasingly blatant bigotry that will be dealt with more in upcoming chapters.
9) He is a tiny bit vain. Okay, more than a tiny bit, he waxes his chest.
10) More than anything, Anto always tries to do the right thing. While he always has the letter of the law in mind, he is well aware that it is not always practical and sometimes you need to follow the spirit instead. That being said, he is aware that he is a man just like any other and he dreads the day he proves that by giving in to his baser instincts, proves to be just as easily corruptible.
I actually did it! OMFG! Anto is a very difficult guy to talk about without giving anything away. Wow. Kind of a superfical list I know. I promise it will be worth it.

Have you ever tried shooting an intense, emotional scene with this going on in the next room? It's difficult! I did manage to eventually stop laughing enough though.

I have no idea what just happened here, but now you know how he got to be the only pet owner in my game. Really there is only so much of that face a person can take before they cave. I cave. Hard. On a regular basis.
Right. This is the police force. The entire police force. Take a good look .... and then be very glad that you do not live where my sims do. These are the people responsible for public safety. I am frequently baffled that crime is only as high as it is.

Mathew would like it known he thinks being stuck in smut with Anto is a much better option than forced synchronized line dancing at night clubs... He would further like it known that Winston would probably agree and I have the screen shots of the cringe face to prove it.
I would like it known that after Mathew rather enthusiastically volunteered sim him to a breeding experiment with Tel the other day and now this ... he and I need to have a discussion. I think there are a few things he is not telling me.
