Panic? Me? I don't Panic ... AHHHHHHH!
Apr. 30th, 2011 12:13 pmSo my MP3 player glitched again last night. That's always fun. Completely erased itself. I was kind of grumpy about that but it is probably time for a new one anyway, it won't hold a charge very long anymore.
Then we lost electric for a few minutes. Some sort of power surge thing, not really a big deal right?
Wrong!
The laptop was plugged in directly to the wall socket at the time.
The laptop no longer works.
I have a lot of Pleasantries related stuff on the laptop that is not on my desktop. Queue the whole "Yeah, but you make back-ups, Kate." motivational speech trying to convince me all is not lost.
They are right! I do make back-ups, all the damn time I make back-ups. I had back-ups. In temporary storage on my MP3 player because there was no point in copying it to my Desktop when I am about to reformat the harddrive ...
Chapter 5.6 only existed on the laptop and the MP3 player.
Right now, I am really hoping it is not the laptop harddrive that is dead. REALLY hoping.
Right now though I have to go to work. :(

Still, fingers crossed!
