Of course I don't want to think of how long it took me to get them to work. I will just chalk it up to "learning" and go with: For the first time EVER, a building looks EXACTLY like I wanted it to.

Plus, I learned a ton about foundation walls while I was at it.

Thank you :) I am ridiculously proud of me for this lot. There are a ton of things I tried for the first time with it (raised foundations, etc) and it worked.

Awesome! ^_^-b Well I've got good news and bad news as far as your lovely items go, but it might be my fault, not yours because you are a genius dear ;D

Take a look:

But...as I've reinstalled my game, I forgot a few steps in making sure my cc shows up (re-installing the CEP and I just tried looking at the programing file to make sure the game setting for cc are in place and they are) but I continue to have problems, so after I download some sims I made, I'm going to clear my downloads folder and go through my files and make sure I have everything I need...it took me long enough the first time ~.~ *wilt*

What problems are you having? *she asks having encounter most of them and mostly remembering how to fix them ... you would be surprised how many times I still forget to download the damn mesh though!)

My cc's giving me a fit, but I also did a few things out of ordet, so I dont know. When I loaded your apt complex, the mailbox looked residential and some of the windows n stuff werent showing...beats me. Im really annoyed right now...

windows sounds like a mesh issue (or they were objecting to the wall overlays that add the grunge to the windows. Try changing the lot to residential and grab the window and replace it [with moveObjects on]. They don't always like to package with something 'blocking' them and will turn into just the frame on the wall. You could also try deleting the window grunge overlays and then replacing them, which would stop them from ever doing it again, until you drop a new lot that has stuff over the windows again of course. Turning the lot to residential and then back to an apartment might solve you mailbox issue as well, but I will get to that in a moment.) and I have had the Mailbox issue.

Two options come immediately to mind about the mailbox. Assuming a quick change to residential, save, exit lot, re-enter lot, change to apartment, save, exit lot, reload, doesn't work. The first: do you have a buyable mailbox? (this usually applies when the lot says it is an apartment but the regular residential box is showing) If yes, check that you only have one (one of the base object, you can have as many recolours as you like). The second: Get a buyable mailbox (from here (http://daydream.etowns.net/)). Turn the lot to residential, place the mail box, save, exit lot, return to lot and ensure mailbox is showing, change to apartment lot, save exit lot. return to lot and ensure apartment box is now showing.

If the second option works for you, let me know and I will investigate the package to see if something went wrong during packaging.

For changing lot zoning, if you need to know how, go here (http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Tutorials:Building_an_Apartment#Changing_to_Apartment)

Oh? Ah, well while it's residential - well I GUESS it's residential - I didn't try; all I saw was all that blue and backed out.

I'll keep you updated. It's going to be a long weekend for me - good thing I have 3 days coming up (although I promise it won't all be spent on simming :p)

Oh yeah I'm all aware of lot zoning. I became aware of that when I ATTEMPTED my first apartment building and I did the taboo thing of moving someone in and then finding something wrong and found myself locked out >_<;;; I've never tried again. I leave it up to the experts; I'll stick to making houses; they're not too headachy for me ^^ heheh...

It should be an apartment. It was packaged as an apartment. Blue is usually a missing mesh though. Now to go back and have a look at which ones didn't package. *sigh*

Do let me know if you work it out because if there is something wrong on my end I would like to get it fixed

Ok, so I tested some stuff out tonight - including your building - and this is what happened. The correct mailbox appeared this time, but still getting blues and everything loaded into the downloads folder, so I don't know \o/

This happened when I was saving it and getting out of build mode, even though I didn't change anything - hell I forgot I couldn't because it was in it's proper zoning this time.

First pic looks like the Liam build set meshes didn't package properly (*sigh*, will put up a link to those. You'd think the major stuff would always be included, it rarely is). The second ... I have no idea. Will do some investigating, possible there is a left over token or something that is packing with it.

What fantastic houses! :o Any chance we'll get to see some more detailed shots? I'm beyond impressed, you did a great job.

*nod* more pics are coming as soon as I finish with it. The plan is to make this (1x3 lot) into 5 apartments (2 of them basement suites). Once that is finished the pic spam will commence :D

*edit the second* I think I am finished fixing typos now ... *headdesk*

I have never really tried for an urban hood before. Mostly it was "and this is the urban section over here and the rest of it will be open lots and single houses ..."

I am having a ridiculous amount of fun with this.
