First, before I do anything else. I loaded a really, really old back-up of my hood (and downloads folder) yesterday, and I was all excited for a few minutes because it seemed to be working with no problems and that would save me 3/4 of forever on rebuilding this thing. Then I saved and exited the Villega house and they all promptly moved in with the Reaper and became "dead" NPCs :(
Hood rebuild it is, but while I was there I got this really tiny in-game camera pic of the terrace/landing/deck thing I asked about in my last post.

When Anto goes outside, he is totally leaving that first white door on the second floor onto whatever you want to call that thing. K? I think I am going to go with landing, or maybe terrace (somehow in my head it is really deeply engrained that a terrace must have green growing things on it *shrug*) , possibly just say he went outside. Use whatever fits at the time *nod*.
I am also still really hesitant about this whole no pics updating thing. I wonder though if most of that isn't because I had all these images in my head for so long and some of them I was really looking forward to shooting. I think that might be the real problem I am having. I mean you guys know what everyone looks like and what most of the places look like. Okay, no, there are a few new people coming in in this chapter but I managed to find pics of them to go on the cover (and you are probably really well acquainted with two of them anyway). I think there were just these images in my head of how a few scenes would play out and the images I would include in the story were all planned out and I think my brain is really rejecting the idea that I don't get to give you the pretty visuals to go along with it.
I have an annoying brain, can you tell?
I am going to compromise with my brain here and give you pics of a few of the places you haven't seen yet. I don't know if it is going to shut up the nagging little voice, but it can't hurt to try. (and will also give me an easily accessible place to find these images when I have to rebuild a whole ton of the buildings to get my hood back up).

I believe I have changed the windows on this since this pic was taken, however, the outside of LCP. One of the buildings I need to rebuild. :(

Around the back showing how to get into the upstairs apartment (It seems I have a lot of these types of buildings ... weird) as well as the access to the roof ... and I have just noticed I did not leave any access to the back yard, Will have to fix that.
And the part I am really not looking forward to having to redo ...

Caelan's Mom's apartment. Technically Caelan's as well, it is where he lives, he's just never there. Also, yellow overload.

Lots and lots of yellow.
I am really hoping I have a usable back-up of this next one, but I think what I actually have is a back-up of the empty shell with zero decorating done.

Winston's house. (and the paper girl)

And after dark, because I have always just liked this shot.

Winston's living-room, downstairs.

His postcard collection on the cork-boards (yes, he really does have one! Each one of those was picked up on a vacation to one place or another. Oh, except for the three his brother sent him for holidays).

And he does own a television.
Heading upstairs ...

Winston's kitchen, which, as it turns out, is a lot more relevant to the story than I ever thought it would be. You might want to take a few moments and remember the layout of this room (bathroom door on the right there, door to the deck on the left, I think I accidentally deleted the cabinet recolour it is supposed to be, so just work with me on the cabinets matching the dishwasher yes?).

And from the other side of the island. That is Winston's room right beside the half wall by the stairs and over on the other side is a spare bedroom. I don't seem to have any pics of the bedrooms. This makes me sad.
And finally ...

Borrowing this image from CD .. (ugh! I hope I have a working back-up of the park!) Behind Angelo's head there is the pond. Then we have the willow tree and a couple benches, the service building and the fountain. If I am going to confuse anyone reading at all in this upcoming update, it will be with the park. Hopefully this little refresher will make it a lot less confusing and help me remember as well. You know so that the service building and the pond don't randomly swap places from one paragraph to the next.

Date: 2012-04-12 08:13 pm (UTC)I loved seeing your houses/sets, it sucks that you have to redo everything, I've only ever lost 2 or 3 houses and I took forever to gather enough courage to go back.
Whatever you decide, full text or not, you will always have people following your story !
Good luck :)
