Catching up with Preston, Amber and Vivian at their new home.



Which is a box because they are still poor. On the other hand, they did get a first of their own. When I moved Patrick in he didn't bring more money than they could keep because there was four of them! they got to keep all $19 000.

Yes, that is a $19 000 house. Sad isn't it?



While Patrick and Amber have a quicky sidewalk wedding to make this all official and ensure any children born will have the correct last name, I will take a moment to remind you of who is who. Because even I am getting confused recently.

Preston (of which you can only see the back) is Amethyst and Braden's eldest child. He rolled an unemployed, single life of romance with the LTW to have 20 simultaneous lovers. I thought, "hey, that might actually be doable, let's give it a shot!", called up the gypsy and Amber was cheap date (extremely, Preston only paid $1) #2. They got along (and still do) wonderfully despite the gypsy's dire predictions of "You get what you pay for" and within just a few hours of meeting Amber was pregnant.

I couldn't leave challenge spawn lost in the void of towniedom so Amber entered the ranks of playability and got her very own set of dice rolls: specifically that she would be getting married and was to take up sewing as a career. Since Preston was off the market for marriage she also got a roll to decide her spouse, but we will get to him in a moment.

With Preston now firmly in Amber's "friend zone" she gave birth to only the second girl born in the hood, Vivian (whom you can not see at all in this picture, she is the child running around the lot when she is in pics). One more rotation later with both Preston and Amber approaching adulthood, we find ourselves here, in a new house where the Former Townie Amber Dawn has just married Patrick Stalk.

Patrick is by remisims and rolled up Mechanic as a career.

All caught up now?



There are no badges for restoring cars which put me in a bit of a predicament for how to tell when Patrick had topped his career and earned them a point. I finally decided the point is earned when the car restorer has maxed tinkering enthusiasm and has all 10 mechanical points. Since restoring cars raises mechanical at half the rate of the bookcase we are going to be here a while! This is okay though because he seems to enjoy it,  on the other hand it makes him tired and stinky in about 2.5 seconds.



Unemployed does not mean unproductive. It will be Preston's job to keep everyone fed.



Meanwhile Amber carries on earning her sewing badges. Yes, I am paying attention this time!



 This created a problem and no, not the that they have no money, barely a house, no utilities yet and aren't even close to being able to make a decent regular living type of problem.



This is the problem. I have no idea what being pregnant while aging up will do.



On the other hand, Patrick has completed the engine on his first car and is moving on to the body.

Shortly after this I borrowed a counter from in the house and bought him a coffee pot. Except for the occasional trip to pee and use the tub, things went faster.



See, he might actually make it through painting it today!



First car in the 'hood!!!!



And through the magic of Television (okay it was actually just switching lots really quick) he has sold the car to Chesly without appearing to move. You can just barely see the back of it peeking out of the driveway down the street.



We celebrated with utilities, walls and floor coverings.



That awkward moment when you go over to a friends house for dinner and her new husband tells you your fiancee is hot.



This is when I made a difficult decision. It didn't matter how many times I did the math, Amber was going to be pregnant when she aged up. So, rather than take the risk of her losing the baby or being stuck pregnant forever ... I accelerated her pregnancy with sim blender :/

Cheating, I know. Under the circumstances I think it is acceptable. I will run the scenario in a throw away hood one of these days and find out exactly what happens. For now I stand by my choice.

Course the other notification there tells me it is time for Preston to grow up as well. So, I bought him a cake, located him outside and clicked on him to tell him to do something (I don't even remember what anymore) and ...



... Accidently clicked on "Grow up". *headdesk* Sorry Preston. I tried to cancel it out. Also, congrats on the pirate outfit.

Amber's turn at the cake.



Not bad at all.



:( Preston didn't grow up too terribly well and it is starting to get to him. I know how to fix it though.



Dark pics again (sorry) but this is a very enthusiastic Preston greeting Dominck.



I feel so terrible when the ones who rolled single have to stay that way when they don't want to. So terrible infact that I have changed the di to a d4 with only rolling 1 being single! 2 now gets them the option to live with someone if they really, really want to and 3 and 4 involve rings. Gives them a couple more chances and a grey area rather than the black and white it was.

These two will probably still move in together since they didn't get the chance to roll the d4. Grandfathered in and all that.



This shot is in no way an attempt to distract from what is happening in Preston's room. It is point out Amber kept the pink when she grew up!



Guys, I am not sure it is entirely appropriate to move the date into the child's room while she is sleeping.



Speaking of the child. I do not think there is a single child in this hood who is not best friends with MItzi.



Randall's birthday.



Now I KNOW that is red hair!!!!



He has some potential for an interesting face as he grows up.



VIvian's turn.



VIvian has rolled Pleasure, is the second farmer in the hood (THANK YOU! Between you, Bree and Chesly we should be okay now) and will be getting married.



She will also be meeting her spouse-to-be as soon as she finishes teaching Randall to talk.

I seem to have accidentally settled into introducing couples on Saturday's I think I will keep the tradition.



No worries for this one. Carry on, Amber, you're doing fine.



This is Hector (with new hair, couldn't find his old one) by amochan8878 where he has a featuring role in the story elvenglade . Hector will be going into one of the unlocked careers. I don't know which one yet because I haven't checked his LTW to see if he has a preference, if he does, yay, if not I will see which one will fit him. Vivian is hoping he will be her new best friend.

Good way to look at it Viv. If you can't be friends with him the rest is doomed.

Vivian: And I am hoping I get to make friends with the servo my Grandpa is going to be able to keep one of these days.



Hector: I hate those things! They are so creepy and ...

Vivian: You do know which family you are getting into here, right?



Hector: But look, I am double minusing even! Do you see my double minus? Why are you smiling like that? ............... You guys are going to make me like robots one way or another aren't you?

Vivian: Yeah, we are.



Turns out, Hector is totally okay with that.



Really.

And here we ran into another problem. I like Hector, he's a good guy and since I like Hector I was paying attention to his want panel more than just as required to advance the date score. The date score doesn't need advancing at this point anyway, but the point is, he threw up two of them. At the same time!

And all I can think is "Oh boy, this is going to end in a lullaby."



But because I like Hector I let them get their demented purple hearts and guess what happened?



No lullaby! Instead, he took a nap.

I officially LOVE, Hector.



I let him nap for a bit, before I had Vivian wake him up to ask him the question that it turns out they all have to ask to make things all sorted (and to avoid getting awkward date drops when Preston calls the gypsy next time, which is about to happen any minute now).



That looks like a yes to me.



Then, because I think I can trust them with this, I let him fill that want that popped up in his panel again.



Braden! Seriously, get out.



Meanwhile, Patrick finished his second car.

Preston remains cheap and still has not paid more than $1 for any date.



I am thinking we need to start paying more.

First thing she did?



Walked in and made out with Patrick .. who was not bright enough to object. Fortunately for him, Amber was sleeping.



New date please! We paid a whole $600 this time, she still objected.



Preston, I think the gypsy has some sort of vendetta against you. I will see if I can come up with a new one.



Preston: Soooooo, umm, you live in a lamp?

Genie: Wanna just shake on it and call it a day?

Preston: If that is okay with you, yeah.

He didn't have anythign against her really, just that she is completely incapable of getting an ACR token which takes away half his relationship building options right to start with and we gotta do this like 16 more times still! Plus, they have nothing in common.

Adorably, the Genie left Preston a single rose as well.



With Hector's date gift they got a serious house upgrade.

Just in time as well.

Random shot of the toddler playing with a demented bear means we are at the end of the week and it is time to tally up the score.

With Melanie and Chesly bringing in three more points the multiplier is now at an even 10 and all the babies brings the Murphy clan population up to 14 which means for the first time ever the Murphy's finish this round in the lead with a score of 140!
