Last time at Harrell House 2 Beka started the week by miscarrying her first pregnancy. On a career front, Arron and Isiah both earned their gold badges (flower arranging and pottery respectively), Beka climbed the Architect ladder several rungs up but has not quite reached the top yet. To end the week the house was upgraded (in a big way) and Beka started pregnancy #2 at which point she aquired her new BFP (Best Friend for Pregnancy) in the form of Mr. Stinky the Snapdragon you can see in the picture up there.

Never more than two tiles away. EVER.

I have no idea when this was delivered. They'll take it though!

Beka got the first wish since she was the only one rolling the want and really, what else would a fortune sim wish for?

Why yes, I m going to exploit the hell out of that "Buy Me Expensive Crap" wish. New fridge comes with all new food, and they need it!

I also finished the house upgrades, complete with attached florist/pottery shop, 'cause the shop at home is way easier than trying to keep track of who sold what to Rosica and how much she owes them.

Is it still slave labour if they are surrounded by mood boosting flowers? It is isn't it? Some day I am sure I will feel bad about the number of hours they spend virtually chained to these benches.

That day is not today.

Beka got bored of sitting by a plant so she wandered outside to attempt befriending Kobe here.

And because I remember what happens once you befriend a stray I totally cheated them up to best friends level and had Beka adopt the kitty.

Yup, they were at the benches all night.

Still not the day I feel bad about it :P

My sim grandparents-to-be seem to have an eerie sixth sense which I am now calling "imminent grandspawn sense" and seem to just drop by in time for the birth of grandbabies.

This grandparent in particular. He dropped in on Bree and Darius at the wee hours of the morning as well.

The share hobby tips mechanic confuses me. Rosica has never touched a pottery bench in her life and yet feels perfectly qualified to tell Isiah, a master potter, what he needs to do differently.

And then Beka lit the brand new kitchen on fire.

Usually I would not be happy about this, only Isiah seems to have the situation well in hand and THEY TOTALLY JUST GOT ONE STEP CLOSER TO UNLOCKING FIRE ALARMS!

Alexander: So, this is the kind of meals your wife plans to serve to my grand child?

Okay, so, baby and child items have been unlocked thanks to the 10+ spawn over at the main Harrell house. and I figure if it is totally, would never, ever use it for any other application without it looking completely ridiculous, wall paper can count as a baby/child item. Plus this house has spare cash at the moment.

Which means ...

Milli gets a completely decorated nursery!

And Rosica gets a rocking chair to nap in ... though I kind of get the feeling she is really just waiting for the chance to snuggle the baby. I think she misses having babies to snuggle.

I kid you not, never touched a pottery bench in her life!

I think I need to get them a rocker of their own. Maybe two. They can have a pair of them on the porch and be all sorts of stereo-typical.

Why, yes, there were other people in the room for this seemingly productive romp on the couch ... *facepalm!*

What? If you've seen one baby toss you've seen em all. And I've seen eleven!

Uncle Isiah gets the honours and Millie looks like her mommy! Uncertain as to the status of having her mommy's pointy ears I will have to look ... of course part of me is a little concerned by the number of pointy ears already in existence. At some point in the future Ripp will live in a sub 'hood here and that is a LOT of potentially distracting pointy ears ...

Dominick: Sorry, I'm with Dad on this one and already up to having seen seven myself .. and not one of them was actually mine.

Dominick did return to the party in time to get his smustle on ... which was just in time to get busted by the cops.

Apparently this was a busy night for the police. I have since learned (possibly again, it seemed familiar when I read about it this last time) that this is triggered by wishing for wealth. I will have to be more careful with that in future :/

So, I have come to the conclusion the snap dragon is some sort of sim narcotic, complete with mood enhancement effects ... which makes scenes like this REALLY wrong.

The plant induced bench chaining did allow them to open the now very well stocked store in record time.

And one of the first customers was the reporter! Not such a bad idea to have them work at Rosica's store in their teen years after all!

I need to come up with better window displays though. I like building window displays. Plus, Isiah's aspiration is tanking again. I think it is time to call Aspiration Fodder ... and no, I still don't remember her name.

Millie makes use of the cat bed, which is a pretty good sign they need more room!

So they got a whole new floor.

Beka seems to have a thing for the stray cats of the neighbourhood.

And since Maxis made the stray mechanic all stupid, and I obviously got those too when I got the townies, I have decided they get a free relationship boost to be able to adopt any strays they show an interest in. I deal with enough real strays and the heartbreak that comes with them to make this a part of the game I absolutely can not stand. This is Moonshine and he is homeless no more.

He also has something of a destructive streak.

He may in fact be blonde ... that could be a light brown ... but I think it is blonde. I will have to check. On the other hand, POINTY EARS!

Proof that I do occasionally let Arron do things other than make flowers! I also kind of feel I have neglected him a bit this round. Truth is, he is kind of really boring.
